    Tiered Display Stand

I am here for the cats and DIY

    Keep your mess on display

Space, the final frontier. Never enough space! This tired display does not save space, but lets you see more of your stuff at once. A splendid way to give more pop to your organized chaos.

    Step 1

Gather the necessary tools and material

To make a tiered display shelf for anything you might want to display in a tiered fashion get a good box, a glue-gun, three cardboard cylinders from toilet paper rolls and a good box cutter. A ruler, a sharpie and a modicum of patience might be necessary to make it straight. An adult is needed to handle all the cutting.

    Step 2

    Make the diagonal cut

Cut off the back flap. Decide how much of an edge you’d like your display to have at the front, measure and mark the spot at two front edges (lets say: 5cm). Measure the same distance from the back at the two top side edges. Connect all the marks and cut neatly along the lines.

    Step 3

    This will come in handy!

Keep the cut off part of the box intact for use in further steps.

    Step 4

    Level the bottom

Use a side flap of the cut of part of the box to even out the bottom of the box if needed.

    Step 5

    Make supporting pillars

Adjust the height of your cardboard rolls to support the shelf and glue them evenly to the bottom of the box.

    Step 6

    Fit the top shelf

The back flap of the cut off part of the box will be the exact width for a shelf. Place it on paper roll support and fasten it with glue.

    Step 7

    Prepare the top shelf...

Use the largest part of the cut off cardboard to create the back wall of the bottom shelf which will also serve as the front of the upper tier. Place it against the top shelf and mark where it meets the side of your box. Cut at this line.

    Step 8

... and glue it in place

You are done! You could at this point decorate your display. Or leave it as is — cardboard is quite stylish by itself, isn’t it?
